International Food Festival

Last friday was the International food festival of the year,I think so.The night before I was trying to help up some Thai's friend but it seemed like nothing much I could help.We reached orleans Hall at around 12:15pm and the hall already crowded and people were ready having some fun.Generally,it had a dance floor at the middle and food were served aside.I was busy taking some video and just ate some of the food.Everyone in the Forsyth Hall seemed like involved in this festival, I could see Jeff Jones,Jessica,robin and even BOB!!The food was generally good,well some tasted bad but I am not going to say from what country.After the festival,I was thinking why I shouldn't have my own Malaysian Food?I have some Malaysian friends here,but they were fasting so they couldn't make it.I hope I will have my own country's booth next time and let u guys taste what malaysian food is all about.

I went for movie last Friday evening with Krito after the Food Festival in Orleans Hall. It ended up just we two went for movie, Eric had some appointment with John anyway so he couldn’t make it. I remembered it was a rainy day and Krito was kinda tired because he stayed up later making the food for food festival – it was fun. We drove to the Regal cinema just beside Savannah Mall,but due to some wrong turned,it took us like one hour to reach there.No doubt, the movie we were going to watch was incredibles. It is the hottest movie in the United States, animation rulez! Time showing 4:40, I thought we missed the show at 4:30,so we wanna went for 5:30 instead. Since I had no cash in hand, I asked Krito to pay for me first. “two tickets for Incredibles please,thank you”asked Krito and he took the tickets from the counter. “Something is missing,what is missing and why I feel so strange about the conversation?”my mind was asking me this. “Krito,check the tickets!”Yeah, my mind was right,Krito never said about what time we gonna watched and the man just printed for him. The worst thing was the tickets were printed show at 4:30pm.We rushed into the cinema and eventually we missed the typical Pixar short film.The movie went very well and I really enjoyed a lot and laughed a lot in the cinema.Krito slept at the beginning of the movie,I think he was too tired working for the food festival.We went to Super Buffet restaurant to have our dinner there.After some wrong turning, we reached downtown like another hour later.So,how much does Incredibles score?Well, it absolutely beats the hell out of Shark Tale because it has better storylines and details on each characters.I think it worths my 5.5 dollars and I wish to have a DVD of it.I think it is kinda tie up with Shrek 2,but I think shrek 2 score on better laughter,think about the donkey and the cat. But Pixar seems like can’t get his storyline off the relationship on the emotion and relationship of family or friends. It is a very good educational film,bad guy die – good guy win. For my opinion, the success of Shrek 2 should thanks to the unpredictable storylines – making fun of disney’s classic and funny characters –dialogue of cat, donkey,some extras-blinded mouse,pinochio and the friends in the swarm.

3rd exam

The third exam of Survey of Western art for me is very important, I studied like hell for the past few days,I even fell sick because of that. No matter what, the exam has passed, the last exam is next week I guess,another sleepless weekend. Today is November 9,a very special date for me and my girlfriend. It also indicate that there's two more weeks that this quarter will end,SCAD will kick us out of dormitory then. I think I will stay in Krito's house till I leave Savannah, sorry to disturb you,Krito.When I was walking back from ClubScad to Boundary Village just now,I saw people already decorating the trees with lights and flags,I am guessing is for Christmas but won't it be so soon to decorate now? Weather is getting colder and colder,I check the weather forecast everyday before I walk out of dormitory.But I made a very bad decision this morning,I thought of wearing a long sleeve will thick enough to stay heat,but I was wrong.It was so freaking cold and it was in noon!Oh my god,I was so regret that I didn't wear extra clothes.Who said Savannah is hot all the time,I feel like whacking the person's face.It is hard to imagine how cold will it be in winter althought there's no snow in Savannah.I never see a real snow dropping from the sky,I wish to see it after the break,maybe I will go north carolina to feel it.Stressed,pressured are haunting me now,hope I can finish it as soon as possible.

Last Saturday was another cookday for us again, but Phoebe joined out Chef line this time. As usual, I and Gab were busy preparing the food while time passed us by. I cooked honey salmon and we manage to prepare our food on time, but the guests weren't on time. George and Krito were the first guests followed by Joyce and Wei Hui then Ryan and Plah, dinner started around 6:30 pm. Everyone was so polite at first and no one seemed to have the courage and bravery to eat the food. When the dinner really started,everybody chit and chat and watching Tv programme while I serving drinks to them.I felt so happy and satisied seeing friends coming and have gathering together.I wish we can have more cookday like this so all my friends can come and have fun.We cooked too much of food anyway,HAHA!

I joined a trip organized by ISSO to Charleston last Friday. I was so excited because Savannah is the only place I have been in the United States. I brought my video camera with full charged batteries, shooting the moment I spent with friends over there. After two hours of boring and tiring journey, we arrived. The first thing I noticed about Charleston is, a more advance city than Savannah (Savannah is a historic district, I know that!). Other than that, the design and the street way are slightly better than Savannah’s downtown. Not to mention their choices of shop lets, branded clothing like Gucci and so on. I am not disgracing Savannah, Savannah is a very beautiful city to me. I just want to make some comparison, so people will have a clearer idea how it is going to be. We went to the local Aquarium and impressed by the underwater creatures, I love the turtle- is like the same in Finding Nemo. I enjoyed myself very much in this trip although I heard some people did not. How good if I have a year of vacation to anywhere I want and whoever I want! I think I day dreaming again, ha. Time passes so fast, I will go back to Malaysia in just 36 days but it is long for my girlfriend. Oops! I forgot she is reading my journal online. Talk about Malaysia, I miss the food again. Nasi Lemak, rojak, Chinese cuisine, Bak kut The and my grandma’s noodle, Oh my god I miss them! There’s a very important task for me to do this time, I am going to learn how to cook Malaysian food! So wait for my call to try it and remind you guys I accept credit card only, no Scad card or meal plan. Sorry for my lame jokes, but I wish to share one joke ( I think is awesome!)

Next quarter will be Math, ESL Level 6 and computer modeling as my courses for my class. I thought of taking Survey of Art 2 at first, but I feel I am quite tired of survey 1 right now. So I just give myself a break, taking math instead. Mid term has passed and I am still doing the class routine everyday. Waking up in the morning unconsciously, rush my breakfast (sometimes I just skip it) with messy hair to the class at 9 AM. Well, this is student life; I assume that everyone is the same. I am feeling kind of happy and relax right now, running my life optimistically and keep everything simple. There are millions of reasons and problems will make us sad or down, sometimes we can’t make any decision. We struggled and suffered but the answer is still either Yes or No. Yes or No is simple, is like correct or incorrect. But people like to make it complicated and some even don’t have the courage to make decision. Life will be a lot happier and easier if you keep your problem or other thing simple. I hope the test is just yes or no, I day dream too much. I have been very busy for few weeks; I hope I can spare some time out to enjoy a movie called “The Grudge” this weekend. I know this movie is making some box office hit right now, the main point is I like Sarah Michelle Gellar – she is cute! Halloween is coming in this weekend too, it will be party time! I hope my first Halloween party will be fun and unforgettable although I have no idea what party I am going.

shark tale

I went to watch one of the most anticipated animation of the year,Shark Tale last weekend.It has been a long time that I planned to watch this film since I watched the trailer online.I am not blaming Dreamworks for having an the same idea for underwater which is the same as Finding Nemo from Disney.As I remember this is not the first time they ever use the same idea,a bug's life and antz are similar isn't it.So it is unavoidable that people will compare this film to Finding Nemo.Basicly,I am quite disappointed with the storyline in sharktale.They never elaborate and bring out the character'uniqueness and feeling in this film,shrek 2 did it.The execution of the film is impressive,lighting and color used brilliantly in the film.I don't really appreciate and like the design of the characters,look weird to me.But I do like the environment and set design that appeared in this film.Does this film worth 5.5 dollars?The answer is it depends,it is entertaining but not awesome.Have a nice day!

Friday,it is late night right now.I am in front of my pc typing this alone.Alone?Yes, I have been staying in this room since yesterday.Why? I am not feeling so well and I don't feel like going out. There is places that I wanted to go but it is too far. Friends seem to be so busy with their own assignments. I have assignment too,at least I have to perform well in my survery of art test. If not I might get a fail very soon because I did it bad for the first test. Something affects my mind, relationship with my girlfriend. I know it is not advisable to have long distance love, but I believe what I am doing know is right. I wish to create miracle and prove to myself that I can. I wish everything will be fine. I am going to market to buy some food tommorow, running out of drinks. Room is getting messy.

I think everyone has taken test or exam in their life,at least one.I took thousands of exam back in primary and secondary school life.Sometimes I get "executed" by my mum if I performed badly.Teachers seem to belong the same category,so I get canned always.Not I don't wanna perform well,I did read but just couldn't memorize it.I think I am not the only one with this problem,there are some people like me too.But should it become an excuse for me? Honestly, no. Who doesn't want to be successful individual? Who doesn't wanna be smart? I can't say I am trying my best, but at least I never give up trying.I have had a test today and I know I did it bad,very bad.Am I getting old? Haha,I was sad and disappointed at first,but I know how's the question gonna be next time.And I realize that I focused on the wrong content.It is wasted? Life isn't all about exam right? I learned something from it although I suck in exam.Optimistic,see thing in a positive site,life can be happier and meaningful.

Few days ago,a clip reminds me that's a Singaporean's film called,I am not stupid.Basicly,is a film describing the reality relationship between son and parents in a modern Singapore life.There are three kids characters,one fat kid representing from a rich family,one skinny from a moderate family and one from a poor family.The rich kid doesn't even know how to make simple coffee because he raised up from a servant-served environment.His mum thought that she had given all the best to him,clothes,servant,car.But he thought he was stupid because he realized that he knew nothing compares to his friend.He couldn't do anything to change the fact because her mum was the "government"in the family.Secondly,another poor kid with art talented skill but his mum thought that art won't bring any bright future to him.Her mum was so worry that his son would be arranged to a bad class,so she canned him everytime he got his result.(I cried when I watching this part,it reflected my childhood.I would blame my mum for canning last time,but you have to know one thing.Her heart was sad and teared when she did that).The third one is from a poor family,he need to help his family since they were working like a foodstore.You will get an idea on how's the life of a kid in Singapore.(Malaysia is much the same)I will give this film an A!My sister like this film very much too."Is like us!"she said that.

The weather is pretty bad in Savannah nowadays.For one moment, you can see the sunshine in the sky but raindrops will visit you just a minute.I was all wet when I went or ESL class,I can't stand it.I think I should buy a umbrella next time.And for the past so called hurricane day,I was disappointed with it.I wasn't expect a huge destruction demolishing the whole Savannah,this is basically not an good idea for the citizen in town.Come on, at least some rain and some thunder will do.But it was a very quiet and calm day,extremely disappointed with hurricane jeanne.That's enough for hurricane,I am kind of boring talking it again and again.Now I know webcam can be so fun, especially with ur friends and love one.The feeling is so great and it is better than telephone,well at least for me.One of the reason is I can see the emotion of the other person,I like that.That's all for today,I can't think of anymore.Good day guys.
